Cracked crowns, crumbling mortar, water coming down the stack and fireboxes falling apart. We work out what is actually wrong, show you the photographs, and put the price in writing before anything starts.
Tell us what the chimney is doing and we’ll call to confirm a time and come out to look — free.
We’ve got your details and will call you shortly to arrange a free look at the chimney.
Call us now: (470) 486-7009Plenty of chimney work gets quoted off a guess from the driveway. We go up, photograph the crown, the cap, the joints and the flue, and come down able to tell you which one is actually causing your problem — then price that, not everything.
Single-family homes across metro Atlanta. No trip fee and no charge for the look, whether or not you go ahead. Steep or unsafe roofs we will tell you about rather than climb.
Sealing the thing you can see is how a leak comes back in March. One visit covers finding the cause, showing you it, and pricing the fix.
Two chimneys with the same crack can be two very different jobs. One needs the crack cleaned and sealed. The other needs the crown taken off and rebuilt, because the crack was the symptom and the slab underneath has gone.
So rather than advertise a number that changes the moment we are on the roof, we find out which of those you have and give you a free estimate in writing — then you decide.
Most chimney problems start small and cheap. Left alone through a few Georgia winters, they stop being either.
The concrete slab on top takes the weather first. Hairline cracks let water in, freeze-thaw widens them, and eventually the masonry underneath starts coming apart. We seal what can be sealed and rebuild what cannot.
A missing or rusted-through cap is an open invitation for rain, leaves, squirrels and birds. A new stainless cap keeps all of it out and lasts for years.
Mortar is deliberately softer than brick, so the joints crumble first and let water into the stack. We rake out what has failed and repoint it, and clean out and seal cracks in the brickwork before they open further.
The liner keeps heat and combustion gases inside the flue instead of in your walls. If we find cracks, gaps or a liner that has shifted, we show you and explain the options plainly rather than quoting a reline by reflex.
Damp on the ceiling near the chimney has four usual suspects: the crown, the cap, the mortar joints and the roof flashing. We find which one rather than sealing all four. If it is the flashing we will say so, even though that is a roofer.
Cracked firebrick, loose refractory panels, failed mortar joints inside the firebox, and dampers that will not close or seal. The part of the chimney you actually sit in front of.

The things people ask us most before booking.
There is no honest answer to that before someone looks. Resealing a hairline crack in a crown and rebuilding a crown that has broken apart are the same job description and nowhere near the same price. We come out, find what is actually wrong, and hand you a flat written price for it. The inspection and the quote are free either way.
Four things come up again and again: a cracked crown, a rusted or missing cap, mortar joints that have crumbled out of the brickwork, and a damaged flue liner. All four start as water getting somewhere it should not, which is why they tend to arrive together.
Usually one of four places: a cracked crown, a missing or failed cap, open mortar joints in the stack, or flashing where the chimney meets the roof. We find which one it is rather than sealing everything and hoping. If the leak is the flashing we will tell you that too, even though it is a roofing job.
It is the one worth catching early. The crown is the concrete slab on top that sheds water off the stack. Once it cracks, water runs into the masonry, freezes over winter and widens the crack a little more each year. Sealing a hairline crack is cheap. Rebuilding a crown that has come apart is not.
Yes. Cracked firebrick, loose refractory panels, failed mortar joints in the firebox and dampers that will not close or seal are all things we do. We lay down covers, do the work, and take the mess out with us.
Most of the time, just a repair, and we will say so. A rebuild is for a stack that has lost its structure, not one that looks tired. We photograph what we find and show you before quoting anything, so you are not taking our word for the size of the job.
